I studied the violin for around 10 years, and music was one of my core subjects in high school. Many (if not most) of my closest friends in high school were made through my study of music (through orchestra and choir as well as classroom music). I stopped formally studying the instrument after I left high school, and I’ve unfortunately I’ve been remiss in my practice ever since - though I made sure that I brought my violin with me to the US.

Every time I go to the symphony, it rekindles my desire to play again… I practice once or twice, and then I put it down again. I need to be more diligent about my practice.
